I literally crave affection. It’s not about sex. I crave somebody to cuddle with me, and to lay their head on my lap. I crave kisses, holding hands and running my thumb across theirs. Just looking at someone and thinking “how did I get this lucky”.

" I have come to accept the feeling of not knowing where I am going. And I have trained myself to love it. Because it is only when we are suspended in mid-air with no landing in sight, that we force our wings to unravel and alas begin our flight. And as we fly, we still may not know where we are going to. But the miracle is in the unfolding of the wings. You may not know where you’re going, but you know that so long as you spread your wings, the winds will carry you. "

Do you remember the first
lightning bug
you accidentally killed?
How you squeezed it too hard
in your fist because
you wanted to keep it long enough
to show us?
No one knows what you did with
the light, or where your hand
has been since it happened,
but they’re all curious.

When did it get bad?
When did your voice turn into an
answering machine?
There’s a man at the door who wants
to save your soul. Says he’s been
looking for you,
that God sent him a message telling
him you needed his forgiveness.
The act. The circus of it all.
I’ll tell him to come back later.

Do you remember when you cracked
open by accident,
spilled your firefly sun all over my floor
like it was wine?
I do. I saw it. Proof that you
were still here,
glowing somewhere that you
forgot you could reach.

Tell me about everything you buried
and how it came climbing out of
you with a vengeance. Tell me about
beauty and the beast, the hand and
the fist,
how you remembered you could be
both the thing that opens and the
thing that closes.
Come to me.
Forgive yourself for the things
that turned you into a ghost.
Let me watch you love yourself
solid again.

" It is midnight, the moon is yellow
and we are playing hide and seek beneath the mulberry tree’s in your backyard.
We are both nervous.
There is an energy in the air that feels like needles, a violence to my pulse.
I count to nine but do not finish because here is the thing:
your heart’s already ten feet under Earth and
my tongue’s went
I dig like hell for you.
I dig till my hands are bloody and violet sorrow drips from my cheeks.
Desperation hits and clarity screams
and eventually I stop
because here is the truth:
I could bleach your heart three times over and still not wash out its mud.
I love you like hell but there is an illness inside of you that’s just not meant for washing machines. "

Into the Wild (2007) by Sean Penn.

Love this sad story about freedom, happiness and miracle of life. Nature scenes are very beautiful and impressive.

This is the most important movie, and an even better book! Please watch and/or read into the wild

love both the film and the book. its odd because it’s such a sad story, and yet every time i read/watch into the wild, i crave to do exactly the same.
